Our company´s founders, Hermann Döppers and Gerhard Menningen, played an active part in the history of prefabricated housing. When this branch of industry emerged at the beginning of the 1970s, they developed suitable shutter technology. That started everything. Nobody else has influenced the industry nearly as much or knows it early as well.
In 1984, Hermann Döppers and Gerhard Menningen established D&M and have continuously supplied their roller shutters and roller shutter systems to the prefabricated housing industry ever since.
What started with 25 employees at the original headquarters in Hillscheid/Germany has now developed into a company active in several countries with some 80 qualified engineers, technicians and experienced factory hands. The company has been systematically and continuously built up and expanded to meet your challenges.
D&M has been a family-run business since its foundation. Meanwhile the founders’ sons, Dirk Döppers, holding a degree in business administration, and Dr.-Ing. Markus Menningen, are taking care of its concerns. In 2007, we took in the company ROMA as a shareholder.
Thanks to this alliance, we are able to extend our market know-how and utilize synergy effects.
